Dear Juliette cc: Members
Sing Song
Thanks for your most welcome message letting me know that the ‘Lobo sister’ will participate in the Sing Song sessions in Goa. Wonderful, and having you three lively sisters will be adding to the fun in Goa, singing and dancing etc.
I am so pleased to learn you also play the guitar and this is great. This will be a treat for all our members.
Please oblige and send me a list of songs Daphne, Marilyn and you would like to sing. I am preparing a song book so your selection will help in the forward planning. Thanks once again and will keep in touch.
Regards – Benny

Hi Ben!
Sing Song
Count the Lobo sisters in the sing along! There’ll be three of us, Daphne Marilyn and myself.
We’re game for anything that’s "Fun, Fun, Fun"
I would love to play the guitar and have been practising (not often) "Losing my religion "by REM my best song. Perhaps you can play it for me!!!!
Looking forward to the celebrations,
Salaams to Betty

Sunset
Dear Thelma
Sunset
Many thanks for your message enclosing a wonderful sunset photograph taken in Goa. Yes it certainly reminds me of Zanzibar sunset and the best experience viewing Red Sails in the Sunset was just in front of your house in Zanzibar. On our last visit to Zanzibar, Betty and I made it a point to watch the Sunset from the top of the English club where all holiday makers stop for a cold beer watching the sunset. What a wonderful scene. We also hired a sailing boat on a trip around the water front and in time to watch the sunset.
Your message to our Goa Reunion committee members is appreciated. The team are working hard together to ensure everyone has a great time in Goa.
SING-SONG – As you have rightfully said, ‘a sing-song’ definitely a must, I am so pleased you will participate. We certainly would love you to sing some songs in Spanish and this will be a treat. Let’s hope we can get songs sung by our members in all different languages. Thanks for the reminder and as such we will chase others to participate. Surely Bargash will sing a couple of songs in Arabic, Tony Madeira singing the African Songs so lets go for it.
Thelma, we are holding you to you singing in Spanish and to ensure you will get good backing from the Jam Session musicians, please send me the title of the songs you wish to sing and I will try to get the recordings from the Internet.
Juliet Lobo will also participate in the sing-song sessions together with her sisters, so we have the 3 Andrew Sisters (Lobo Sisters) who will be joining in the fun. Juliet will also be playing the guitar.
Good encouraging support from the Ladies and hope others too will participate. Watch out for the new release re JAM SESSION/Session musicians published on SJCS Goa Reunion website.
Today I met Herbert and Jennifer Fernandes at the Goan Music Society Jam Session. What a wonderful afternoon listening to great young talent. I was really thrilled to see such fine young musicians and only wish I had a video camera, but instead I captured some photographs.
Herbert who had his own band in Goa and played at the last BMX dinner dance has offered to join in in our Sing Song/Jam Session Musicians in Goa and as such we have planned to get together for a quick rehearsal. What an encouraging start not forgetting Mervyn Nunes our sing song specialist and with the the Canadian musicians under the leadership of Alwayn Mendes, we are out a couple of good sing song sessions, for sure on the Boat Cruise and at the Picnic on the Beach Resort.
Just to let you know, your brother Jose Machado has been booked to entertain on the Boat Cruise. Whilst in Goa I visited Jose and had a nice music session at his home. His daughter too is a great singer and keyboard player besides being a good dancer too, so Jose Machado Duo will be with us all cruising down the Mandovi River with us all wining, dining, dancing and followed by a good old sing song.
Thelma if you don’t mind I have attached your message below with the hope to encourage other ladies will participate.(No problems with the men).
Anyone wanting to sing any particular song, please oblige and let me have your name and the song(s) you wish to sing. I love to be organised in advance where possible.
As for your last paragraph re diamonds and other precious stones, I would certainly love to treat Betty with diamonds and other precious stones but my little bank account does not permit such a choice, so have to settle for just one good diamond ring as my next gift to Betty which will be for her birthday on the 12th November 2007.
Please look at the SJCS Zanzibar blog for more updates.
Best regards – Benny

Hi Benny,
Sunset
Referring to the subject of sunsets on the SJCS forum I thought you might like to view this last sunset of 2005 photo I took in Goa. Zanzibar and Goa do have something in common! Don't you think? If you think fit perhaps this would be a nice appetizer for the SJCS alumni to view and to know what lies in store for them at our forthcoming reunion.
Interesting to see all the progress reports and I must congratulate you all on the hard work you - the committee - are doing to make this reunion a success. About the sing-song we will most definitely have, especially in Goa, where it's part of the lifestyle if you are serious about my singing some song in Spanish and I would most certainly oblige but do let me know in time so I can practise!
Regards to Betty and about diamonds, they are not the only precious stones. There are so many others so I think you should offer Betty a collection...
